🎓Investing in the Future: The James Karam Scholarship Fund 🎓

Education has the power to transform lives, and for over a decade, the James Karam Scholarship Fund has been doing just that. Founded in 2013 by James and Janis Karam, this scholarship was created to recognize and support exceptional students from the SouthCoast region—students who have not only excelled academically but have also made a meaningful impact in their communities.

Since its inception, the fund has supported dozens of students and scholarship awards have exceeded $340,000, helping to ease the financial burden of higher education and open doors to new opportunities.

In 2024, nine outstanding students—both current and incoming college students—were recognized for their academic excellence and dedication to giving back. Hearing their stories and seeing their passion for making a difference is always a highlight of the year.

At First Bristol Corporation, we believe in investing in the next generation of leaders, and this scholarship is just one way we hope to contribute to a brighter future.

At First Bristol Corporation, we are committed to supporting causes that make a meaningful impact in our communities. We are proud to help raise awareness and funds for Mothers Against Drunk Driving (MADD), an organization dedicated to ending impaired driving and supporting victims and their families.

This event holds deep significance for our First Bristol family as it honors the memory of Linda Sherman, who tragically lost her life to an assumed impaired driver. Together, we stand united in supporting MADD’s vital work to create safer roads and a brighter future.

Funds collected at the concession stand will be donated to MADD Rhode Island.

Yesterday, we had the incredible honor of being part of the Southcoast Veterans Hiring Event—a special day dedicated to connecting our nation’s heroes with career opportunities. 🇺🇸

One of the highlights? Seeing Jason Lowe, our General Manager of the Hampton Inn Taunton-Raynham and active Army National Guard service member, represent First Bristol Corporation at the event. Jason’s leadership and dedication truly reflect the values we stand for as a company. 🙌
