Here’s my next secret revealed! I’ve been having SO much fun writing Tales from the Hardluck that apparently I’ve already started on Book 2… and Book 3. 😂

Book 2 is Letters From Abroad. These aren’t my stories. They’re my Dad’s Letters he wrote home before and during WWII.

A long time ago, I started working on Dad’s letters, getting them typed into a Word document so we wouldn’t lose his letters and poems. And then… they sat silent in my computer for 20 some years.

Now I’m finally bringing them back to life.

There’s something about holding 80+ year old paper in your hands… the faded ink, the worn edges, and that unmistakable musty smell.

And by musty, I mean these things actually stink. 😂 You handle them so gently because they’re so fragile. Every fold, every crease, every little tear is a reminder that these letters have survived more than 80 years.

Honestly, I think a little stink is a small price to pay for holding a piece of my Dad’s history in my hands. His handwriting is so beautiful!

I have a feeling this one is going to be pretty special.

And Book 3? Apparently, I’m already working on the sequel to the book I just finished. 😂 Those are the stories I forgot to put in Book 1.

I know I left out a lot of people and friends who were part of those years. If you have a memory that might help me bring one of those stories back, I would LOVE to hear it. Sometimes somebody else remembering is exactly what it takes to unlock a memory I’ve lost.

Okay, I’ve been sitting on a SECRET and I just can’t keep it to myself one more minute!! You know all those tales from the Hardluck I’ve been telling you for years? Well, I went and turned them into a BOOK!! Yep! A real, honest to goodness book!

It’s called Tales from the Hardluck and it’s 126 stories from my crazy, wonderful life. Growing up in the Montana mountains with no electricity and no running water (Dad always said we had running water, it ran right through camp!), my Mom and Dad, the ranch, the kids, the critters, and every character in between. Some will make you laugh, some might make you cry, but they’re all the way I remember them!

It goes live on Amazon August 25th and I’ll share the link the SECOND it’s ready!! I’m equal parts excited and nervous.. so bear with me!
