Dear William Raveis Family,
When Chris rejoined the company in 2003, his first mission was to expand our business model outside Connecticut. Twenty years ago, we opened our Hingham, Newton, and Norwell offices and added 40+ more branches in Massachusetts over the next few years.
Chris is as good as it gets in the real estate industry. He spent several days a week away from his young family to focus on branding, training, and recruiting agents across our Northern regions. While I oversaw operations and Candy handled interior design and installations, Chris was boots on the ground meeting deadlines for our grand openings. It was truly a Raveis team effort!
We discovered that our family luxury brand resonated with our new customers. Key to success was having local agents and managers, like Wendy Beaulieu, who came on board in 2008 to help Chris grow the Cape and Nantucket. People are always impressed by the caliber and longevity of our team. Wendy explains it this way, "Everyone has direct access to Bill, Chris and Ryan - we're a family company that gives agents unwavering support." Many of our agents have been with us from the start, including, Deborah Budd, Paula Burke, Joanne Conway, Alice Desmond, Anne Merna, Mary Morrison, Debbie Tortorella, Valerie Tocchio, and MaryAnn Quinn, to name a few.
Congratulations to our Massachusetts team for beating the marketplace! With 1,100 sales associates and $5.4B in sales, last year we added 114 agents. Our market share in MA has increased by 8% (Q1 '23 v. Q1 '22) and our Cape Cod market share is up almost 15% for the same period. Additionally, William Raveis' average selling price is 21% higher than our competitors statewide ($800k v. $660k); whereas Boston's average selling price is up 32% and Nantucket's average selling price is up 24%. Proving that once again, our agents, managers and support teams are the best in the industry!
