Charlie Kirk Comments Cost Las Vegas REALTOR® Leadership Role — What the Industry Can Learn

This case underscores three important truths for those of us in real estate:
As REALTORS®, our Code of Ethics applies not only in transactions but in our broader conduct. Leadership especially magnifies the impact of our words, online or offline.

Free speech has professional consequences.
While everyone is free to speak their mind, trade associations have clear codes of conduct. Hateful or celebratory speech around violence, even expressed personally, can be grounds for removal from leadership roles.

Reputation is fragile.
Years of service and experience can be overshadowed by one misjudged post. For clients, colleagues, and the public, our digital footprint reflects directly on our trustworthiness.

This is what you ought to know when buying a property....

That clarity makes all the difference when it’s time to act. Because in this market, hesitation = lost opportunities. 🏠🌟

Even if you’re just browsing online, knowing your numbers now means you’re ready when the right home shows up later.

This is exactly the kind of conversation that sets serious buyers apart, and it’s why we created the KCM Playbook: Pre-Approval Isn’t Commitment – It's Clarity. It’s a step-by-step guide you can use today with your clients.

CCIAOR Notches Advocacy Victory in Bourne as Select Board Votes to Protect Homeowners by Filing Notice of Intent for Nitrogen Sensitive Areas

CCIAOR's advocacy efforts scored a major victory in Bourne on Wednesday, May 28th as the town's Select Board voted 5-0 to reverse course and direct the town to file a Notice of Intent (NOI) for a watershed permit for two Nitrogen Sensitive Areas (NSAs) in town.

This decision protects more than 1,400 homeowners in town by giving the town five years to draft a plan, and 20 years to implement a plan to reduce nitrogen pollution in the Megansett-Squeteague and Phinney's Harbor Nitrogen Sensitive Areas. Prior to May 28th, Bourne was the only town on Cape Cod intending to NOT file a NOI, and planned to instead require homeowners in the two NSAs to install costly and unproven innovative/alternative septic systems at their own cost within the next five years.

CCIAOR was joined in these advocacy efforts by many voices from the town of Bourne so REALTORS® were not standing alone on this issue. CCIAOR members in Bourne stood up for their community, and now homeowners have a voice to work with the town on the best path forward on crafting a wastewater management plan.
