Far Hills-Bedminster First Aid squad was called in to rotate into Jersey City and New York City on the days following 9/11. We raised the American flag as we staged, waiting to treat the survivors… that never arrived.

Today we honor the heroes who showed up to do their jobs, and sacrificed their lives in the process. Their sacrifices will never be forgotten, we will continue to honor them beyond the anniversary of 9/11, we will honor them in our actions and how we serve our community.

And this is how EMS is done. 🚑 Far Hills - Bedminster First Aid Squad, Peapack-Gladstone First Aid and Rescue Squad Inc., Basking Ridge Fire Co. No 1 & EMS, and Martinsville Rescue Squad all together today in Jersey City for a spectacular trauma conference. Held in solemn remembrance of the 25th Anniversary of 9/11 and how that tragic day has shaped the EMS and hospital system.

The TEAeMS Conference is a comprehensive, education-driven forum dedicated to multidisciplinary learning, the exchange of best practices, and the continued strengthening of our trauma systems.

Last night 29EMS and Far Hills-Bedminster FD teamed up to train on extrications. Crews faced multiple different scenarios and got to put their skills to the test.

This weekend, our Saturday crew responded to a patient who fell off of a horse, and provided care until NorthSTAR SouthSTAR Medevac arrived for further treatment and transport.

Big thank you to Far Hills-Bedminster FD for helping with the landing zone and for NorthSTAR SouthSTAR Medevac to transport the patient. Great work by all!

On Wednesday, members trained on our newly donated LUCAS CPR device both in the building, and outside; training for a variety of circumstances where this device can be used.
