Realtor logic is always to 'Buy Now!' because...

1) If you buy now and rates go up, you got a good deal
2) If you buy now and rates go down, refinance into a better payment

This is really easy to say, but can seem insensitive to the fact that affordability is just worse now than it was literally any time in the past.

Prices are up, rates are up, demand for good homes suitable for working class folks is still high, but supply (inventory) is a bit low. Economic uncertainty isn't helping either.

A lot of people bought in the last 5-7 years with incredibly low rates and aren't going anywhere. Heck, I've heard a lot of those homeowners say they couldn't afford the very home they purchased TODAY because of rates and prices.

So, for sure this market is tough. THAT SAID, if you've saved, and you think you're close to the spot where you are mortgage-fit, get in touch with me. It's worth it.

If net worth matters to you (it may not), then start the process! For the majority of folks, a home is the biggest asset they'll purchase and a realistic path towards a much greater net worth, financial flexibility, and low-risk savings.

Nationwide, on average, homeowners have a net worth 20-30 times greater than renters!
