Tara Renze's keynote at last week's Summit, Be Who You Came to Be, challenged our teams at Goldmark and Sterling Management to lead with more honesty, courage, and ownership. It was a reminder that positivity is a choice, authenticity is a strength, and the way we show up each day shapes the experience of the people we serve.

That message resonated across both organizations.

At Goldmark, that means creating places where residents feel supported, cared for, and at home. At Sterling Management, it means serving commercial tenants, properties, and partners with the same level of integrity, responsiveness, and commitment. In both cases, the work is deeply human. Last week at The Summit, we celebrated the very best of who we are.

Our Culture Awards recognize team members who model our values and Culture Statements every single day. They show what it actually looks like to Create a Better Living through their leadership, consistency, and care for others.

We received 216 nominations this year. That says a lot about the culture we are building together. To every nominee and every winner, thank you for leading with integrity, caring deeply, and delivering results that move our organizations forward.

This year’s Culture Champions set the standard:

• The Grand Forks Maintenance Team showed what “one team” truly means through resilience and accountability.

• Lee Pratschner, a steady, people-first leader who elevates everyone around him.

• Logan Hackmann, whose ownership and discipline strengthen every project he touches.

The Summit brought our teams together to connect, celebrate wins, and invest in their growth. From breakout sessions and leadership insights to recognition moments and a lot of laughter in between, it was a powerful reminder of what happens when we step away from the day-to-day and focus on learning and each other.
