Pet of the Week Monday! (Diamonds in the Ruff)
Say hello to sweet Polie. She is a chocolate, purebred Chow Chow. Currently weighing in at 17lbs of pure fluff, but don't let that fool you. She could be the body pillow of your dreams reaching 60-100lbs. Chows require owners who are willing to put in the time and attention to training for their breed. Once you do you'll have a buddy for life, so please think of making Polie a part of your family.

*She is considered special needs as she has Entropion. This is a condition of the eyelids in which they roll inwards towards the eye. Since she is still growing into her skin, there is a small chance she may grow out of it. Her eyes will need to be re-assessed by a veterinarian around the age of 1 year. If it has not resolved itself, she will require specialty surgery to correct her eyelids.*

Pet of the Week!
Everyone Meet Gizmo… an independent lady who knows exactly what she wants in life. She's not the clingy type and appreciates her space and a home where she can set the pace for attention.

I would say I know a lot of humans who are also like Gizmo. More of an introvert with social bursts here and there, but needing more recharge time and rapport before we feel comfortable.

Like humans she has preferences and does best in a quiet, adult-only home without dogs, cats, or kids. She can get easily overstimulated, so she needs someone who can be patient and respect her boundaries. She's been waiting nearly a year and a half for my forever home, and knows there is the perfect someone, just like her, out there who will appreciate her just the way she is. Once I trust you, I do have a sweet side… I just prefer my affection in small, well-timed doses.

If you’re looking for a low-maintenance, independent feline with a little bit of sass and a lot of personality, then Gizmo might just be the cat for you!

As you all know I'm obsessed with animals, a board certified cat lady that would pet a crocodile if I knew there was a 50/50 chance I wouldn't die. I already partner with Homeward Animal Shelter, so why not also partner with Diamonds in the Ruff. I will be featuring a pet of the week. We domesticated them so now its our job to care for them and give them a loving home.

Where's Waldo?...Hopefully in your house next week. This sweet boy was surrendered due to a sick owner who wanted the best for their furbabies. Waldo does well with other cats but because he is FeLV+, he needs to with others like him or solo cat household. Let's remind Waldo about community and spread the word, so he too can call a house, a home.

Inspection days are both exciting, as it means your clients offer was accepted, but also nerve wrecking because you never know the true quirks of a house and how that will play into moving forward.
Ways to make inspections less painful:
*Sellers could have a handy man fix minor issues around the house and have utilities serviced. Keep track of reports/receipts for said work.

*Buyers should try to be realistic with age and price point of a house they're buying as well as educate themselves on seasonal maintenance, so they are prepared. Never hesitate to ask the seller or inspector questions on how things work or best maintenance upkeep. All houses will vary based one what they have or don't have.
