NATIONAL HYDRATION DAY
The games get intense under the hot summer sun and on June 23, and National Hydration Day reminds us to replace fluids lost in the heat of battle.
The human body contains more than 60 percent water. Maintaining that balance while training is a challenge. And doing it during the summer months is a practice that must be consistent. Becoming overheated or dehydrated can lead to heat stroke and possibly death.

HAPPY FATHER'S DAY
Father's Day falls on the third Sunday in June to honor the role fathers play in the family structure and society. This day recognizes not just fathers, but the father figures in our lives.
Father’s Day is all about showing dads how much they mean to us. It’s a chance to celebrate everything they do—whether it’s offering advice, sharing laughs, or just being there when we need them. Dads often work behind the scenes, and this day gives us a reason to shine a light on how much they matter.

National Dachshund Day
Dachshunds may be small, but they have never acted like it. With their famously long backs, determined little legs, and expressions that say, “Yes, I heard you, but I have other plans,” these dogs have earned a fan base that spans generations.
National Dachshund Day is a lighthearted excuse to celebrate the breed’s big personality, working-dog roots, and the special brand of devotion that comes from sharing a home with a dog who thinks it runs the place.
All of the celebratory days that have been founded in honor of little tail-waggers can be delightful, and National Dachshund Day is no exception. It is a chance to appreciate what makes dachshunds unique, while also keeping their real needs in mind: training that rewards cooperation, exercise that protects joints and backs, and a home routine that keeps a clever, scent-driven dog happily occupied.

National Vanilla Milkshake Day
On June 20 each year, National Vanilla Milkshake Day celebrates the cold beverage made with vanilla ice cream, vanilla, and milk.
The frosty vanilla milkshake showed up in print for the first time in 1885. The original concoction consisted of cream, eggs, and whiskey and was often served with other alcoholic tonics such as lemonades and soda waters. By the early 1900s, soda fountains introduced milk-based drinks that were more kid-friendly without the whiskey ingredient.
One of the world’s most indulgent beverages, the humble milkshake can be found in hundreds of iterations – and today, it’s the sweet and simple vanilla milkshake that is getting all of the attention

Each year on June 19, we celebrate Juneteenth to commemorates the end of slavery in the U.S.
Juneteenth is a vibrant celebration that marks an essential chapter in American history. Every year on this day, people across the United States celebrate this day to honor the end of slavery.
The story of Juneteenth begins in Texas when Major General Gordon Granger arrived in Galveston on June 19, 1865, with announcement that slavery has ended. As the community listened to the reading of General Orders, Number 3, the people of Galveston learned for the first time that the Civil War was over. After more than a century of slavery and years of war, it was official. All slaves were now freedmen.

And if you didn't know now ya know!

Arborist Appreciation Day
Arborist Appreciation Day is a chance to notice the people working quietly above everyone’s heads, often in harnesses, hard hats, and sawdust, making sure trees stay healthy and safe. Arborists do far more than “cut down trees.”
They assess risk, diagnose problems, plan long-term care, respond after storms, and protect the public from hazards most people never see until a branch is already falling.
There’s also a simple human point to the day: arboriculture is physically demanding and genuinely dangerous work. When the job is done well, it looks almost effortless, which is exactly why it can be overlooked.
Arborist Appreciation Day invites a little extra awareness, a little more gratitude, and a better understanding of what it takes to care for the trees that shade streets, frame parks, and soften the edges of everyday life.
