Today we honor Herman Brown Jr. of Bayou Goula, Louisiana, who fell in 1966. He was 22 years old. Today is his birthday. He is remembered by Bill:

"Those of us who served with him in Charlie Company, 1/1 knew Herman as Charlie Brown. He was simply one of the sweetest-natured guys I ever met, was universally loved by everyone who ever met him for his sunny disposition and his warmth and sincerity -- I never heard him say anything negative, ever. The Lord must have loved him so much that He had to take him home early. Charlie, you brought sunshine into the lives of everyone you met, and we'll never, ever forget you. God bless and keep you, Charlie Brown."
