One thing we've talked about for a long time is building a business that's about more than buying and selling homes.

We love Farmington and the surrounding areas. We love supporting small businesses, showing up at local events, and getting to know the people who make this community special.

Over the next few years, one of our goals is to host free community events where families can come together, have fun, and make memories.

Buying and selling homes will always be at the heart of what we do, but we also hope The Pierson Team becomes known for loving and supporting the community we call home.🩵🏡

If we were sitting at your kitchen table talking about selling your home, we'd likely spend some time talking about price.

We know...it's not always the most fun conversation.

But pricing your home isn't about picking the highest number. It's about finding the price that gets buyers excited to come see it.

There are still homes selling quickly in today's market. The ones we see doing the best are usually priced well, show well, and are marketed well.

Every home is different, which is why we don't believe in a one-size-fits-all approach.

Helping people buy and sell their homes is such a privilege, and we're so thankful for every client who's trusted us along the way. We truly don't take it for granted.

"Are homes actually still selling?"🏡

The short answer? Absolutely.

We think a lot of people hear what's going on with interest rates and assume the market has completely slowed down. That's just not what we're seeing.

Are homes taking longer to sell than they were a few years ago? Some are.

But there are also plenty of homes that are still selling quickly (and getting multiple offers).

The biggest difference is that pricing matters. Presentation matters. Marketing matters.

If you're thinking about selling, don't assume your home won't sell just because of what you're hearing on the news. Every home is different, and we'd be happy to sit down with you and talk through what today's market looks like for your specific home.

And for our buyers... be ready! The right homes are still moving fast, and being prepared can make all the difference (we may know a good lender or two😉).

"So...what does having a team actually mean for me?"

Honestly, it means you have two people in your corner instead of one.

Now there are two of us thinking through pricing, negotiations, inspections, contracts, and all the little details that come up along the way. If one of us is tied up with another client, the other can usually jump in. It just gives our clients an extra level of support throughout the whole process.

One thing I really love is that we each bring something different to the table. I've spent years helping buyers and sellers here in Farmington and the surrounding areas, and Shawn brings previous real estate experience from Michigan along with his construction background. We naturally look at things a little differently, and I honestly think that makes us better together.

At the end of the day, though, the most important thing hasn't changed.

We're still the same people. We're still with Coldwell Banker Hulsey. And we're still going to care about our clients the same way we always have.

We're just excited that now we get to do it together.🩵

Now that you've officially met The Pierson Team, I figured it was time to properly introduce Shawn.

Hey everyone! I'm Shawn.

For those of you I haven't met yet, I figured I'd introduce myself.

I'm originally from Michigan, where I first got my real estate license. In 2023, I moved to Missouri and married Abbi, and I've been lucky enough to call Farmington home ever since.

Even before getting licensed here, I've had a front-row seat watching Abbi build an incredible business. I've enjoyed helping behind the scenes however I could, and now I'm excited to officially be part of The Pierson Team as a licensed REALTOR® with Coldwell Banker Hulsey.

Outside of real estate, I work in construction, enjoy golfing, and spend a lot of early mornings with my F3 group. But more than anything, I love spending time with my family.

I'm looking forward to meeting more people in our community, helping however I can, and working alongside Abbi as we continue building The Pierson Team.
