"I think we're just going to quit looking." I hear it every fall.
There's a difference between quitting and knowing when to stop. Quitting is deciding it will never happen for you. Stopping is looking at the payment, the repairs, the drive — and saying not this house, not this month.
One comes from fear. The other from clarity. Same action, different source, and the distinction matters.
If you're stopping, let's put an end date on it: what has to change, what you'd need saved, what price actually works. A pause with a plan is smart. A pause with no plan turns into five more years of rent.
Which one are you in right now — pausing, or done?
