In Mark 6, Jesus waited until the disciples got concerned about the situation before he did anything to address it.

Maybe you’re having a problem in your marriage or your finances. God sees the problem, and he recognizes it. But He waits on you to get concerned and accept responsibility for it before He does anything about it.

“For everything there is an appointed time, and an appropriate time for every activity on earth: A time to be born, and a time to die; a time to plant, and a time to uproot what was planted; A time to kill, and a time to heal; a time to break down, and a time to build up; A time to weep, and a time to laugh; a time to mourn, and a time to dance. A time to throw away stones, and a time to gather stones; a time to embrace, and a time to refrain from embracing; A time to search, and a time to give something up as lost; a time to keep, and a time to throw away; A time to rip, and a time to sew; a time to keep silent, and a time to speak. A time to love, and a time to hate; a time for war, and a time for peace.”
‭‭Ecclesiastes‬ ‭3‬:‭1‬-‭8‬

You know what? Some seasons ABSOLUTELY SUCK. They’re painful and miserable and I ache to get out of them….. but without the rotten seasons of pain, how can I then appreciate more the fantastic seasons? How can I then be truly grateful for the good things I DO have? How much easier is it to count my blessings when I go through a time that doesn’t feel blessed at all.

“Though you slay me, yet I will praise you.” Through Christ, Christians can not only say this in their deepest suffering — they can sing it.Shane and Shane w...

Can anyone help toward raising the last 1k to help a family get into a rental? I've got a venmo for that, as gofundme takes a large chunk in fees on both ends. 10 people at $100 would absolutely do the trick!

Not knowing what to say, I would avoid a grieving friend. Not until I experienced the deep pain of grief did I learn that a hug and listening ear was the best thing I could do.

Proverbs 25:20 "Like one who takes away a garment on a cold day, or like vinegar poured on a wound, is one who sings songs to a heavy heart."

This verse teaches the importance of empathy and appropriate responses to others' emotions. When someone's heart is heavy or they are suffering, cheerful behavior may feel dismissive or even harmful, just like inappropriate actions make an already bad situation worse. The wisdom here is to be mindful and sensitive to the emotional state of others and offer comfort rather than trying to force cheerfulness.
