Had this little gem today with some great conversation at my favorite cigar lounge Smoky’s To***co And Ci**rs Exactly how a cigar should be enjoyed. Camacho Nicaragua. 🔥

Bold smoke. No nonsense.

Despite the name, this one isn’t a Nicaraguan puro. It’s rolled in Honduras with to***co from four different countries, with Nicaraguan leaf bringing some extra punch to the blend.

Filler: Nicaraguan, Honduran & Dominican

The Crowned Heads Jericho Hill has a pretty cool backstory: the entire cigar was inspired by Johnny Cash’s rendition of “Cocaine Blues” from his legendary 1968 At Folsom Prison album. “Jericho Hill” is the sheriff who ultimately catches the song’s outlaw, W***y Lee. Even the cigar’s vitola names—W***y Lee, .44S, Jack Brown, LBV and OBS—reference the song or Cash’s Folsom Prison performance.

The blend:

* Wrapper: Mexican San Andrés Maduro
* Binder: Nicaraguan
* Filler: Nicaraguan
* Made at: My Father Ci**rs in Estelí, Nicaragua
* Profile: Medium-full to full, with earth, black pepper, leather, espresso/cocoa and a darker sweetness.

One especially cool detail: the Mexican San Andrés wrapper fits the story perfectly because W***y Lee is captured in Juárez, Mexico. It was also Crowned Heads’ first regular-production cigar using a Mexican San Andrés wrapper. **rsmoker

Smoking the Crux Bull & Bear Toro today. 💨 Purchased at Smokys in Knoxville. Best shop around!!!!

A cool fact about the Bull & Bear—it was one of Crux Ci**rs’ original five blends, first released back in 2014. The Toro is a 6x52 and was later added to the lineup. (Crux Ci**rs⁠)

🌿 Wrapper: Nicaraguan Habano
🌿 Binder: Nicaraguan
🌿 Filler: Nicaraguan

That makes the Bull & Bear a true Nicaraguan puro. Expect a smoky, slightly sweet profile with notes commonly described as earth, cocoa, wood and pepper.

A solid Nicaraguan smoke and a good way to spend a little time slowing things down.
