🎣🌲 Dreaming about owning a place on the water in Maine?

Don’t assume you have to wait until next spring to start looking.

Fall can be one of my favorite times to walk a waterfront property. As the leaves begin coming down, you can often get a much clearer look at things that may be hidden during the summer:

🌊 The actual shoreline
🌲 The lay of the land
🏡 Neighboring properties
🚗 Road and property access
☀️ Sunlight around the home or camp
🎣 How usable the waterfront really is

And when you’re buying Maine waterfront property, the details matter. A beautiful view doesn’t necessarily tell you everything you need to know about frontage, septic, seasonal access, shoreland restrictions, or the property itself.
