Join Decoding Dyslexia North Carolina on Thursday, September 3 at 6:30 PM EST for a special presentation, Dyslexia for a Day: A Simulation of Dyslexia, led by Dr. Kelli Sandman-Hurley, founder of the Dyslexia Training Institute, nationally recognized speaker, advocate, author, and expert witness for students and families. This powerful and engaging simulation guides participants through six different experiences related to reading, writing, spelling, and processing, helping build a deeper understanding of what individuals with dyslexia often face every day. Designed for parents, educators, teacher candidates, practitioners, family members, and anyone interested in learning more about dyslexia, this event offers a unique opportunity to gain insight, empathy, and practical understanding. Dr. Kelli is the creator of Dyslexia for a Day® and author of several acclaimed books, including Dyslexia Advocate!, Dyslexia & Spelling: Making Sense of it All, and The Adult Side of Dyslexia.
