THEY’RE MOVING THE OTHER WAY!!

They’re actually going up again.

And I know that probably isn’t what you wanted to hear if you’ve been sitting on the sidelines waiting for that magical 5% (or lower) rate to come back.

But here’s where it gets interesting…

Inflation is still putting pressure on the economy, and higher rates are helping cool buyer demand. And when fewer buyers are competing for homes, we start to see home price growth level out.

So while you’re waiting for the rate to come down, the market around you is changing too.

And this is why I always tell my clients:

Don’t make your real estate decision based on ONE number.

Look at the whole picture.

What are home prices doing?
What are sellers willing to negotiate?
Are there incentives or closing-cost opportunities?
What does your monthly payment actually look like?
And most importantly… does moving make sense for your life right now?

Because the truth is, people don’t move because rates are perfect.

They move because life happens. ❤️

New job.
Growing family.
PCS.
Retirement.
Divorce.
More space.
Less space.
A new school.
A new chapter.

So if you’ve been saying, “We’re just going to wait until rates come down…”

Let’s at least run the numbers before you decide.

You may be surprised by what today’s market actually looks like for you.

And if rates eventually come down? Great. There may be an opportunity to refinance later. But you can’t refinance a home you never bought. 😉 And when the rates drop, house prices tend to go up based on demand….
