🥾 Raven Rock State Park — north of Fayetteville. One of my personal favorites. Hiking, camping, and the Cape Fear River Trail. Bring the kids. Bring the dog.

🍦 Sunni Sky's in Angier, NC — best homemade ice cream in the area. Period. You'll thank me later.

🌳 Parks, trails, and splash pads throughout the city — Fayetteville is way more outdoorsy than people realize.

I moved here not knowing what to expect. Now I love this city. Diverse, welcoming, always something happening.

That means your housing allowance goes further than it did last year. Here's a quick breakdown by neighborhood:

🏘 Hope Mills — strong family neighborhoods, good school options, close to post. BAH covers a solid range here.
🏘 Spring Lake — very close to post, value-driven, great for first-time VA buyers.
🏘 Gray's Creek — more space, quieter feel, slightly longer commute, great for families wanting room to breathe.

Every family's BAH and qualification is different depending on rank and dependents — but these are the areas I show military buyers most often.

My husband and my church are what made Fayetteville feel like home. 🙏

My journey from Florida to Fayetteville was not a simple one. All three of my daughters and my grandbaby are still in Florida. Leaving that was hard.

But I knew God called me to move. And I chose to enjoy the journey.

What I found here: amazing friends, a church community that felt like family, a city that is one of the most diverse and welcoming places I've ever been. People from literally all over the world, all landing in this place — and I get to meet them every single day.

This is my husband and me at a Woodpeckers game last summer. ⚾ One of those simple nights that reminded me — I'm home.
