A new report from Realtor.com calls out the week of Sept. 27–Oct. 3 as the prime buying time for house hunters, offering a mix of greater listings, lower home prices and less competition compared to other times of the year.

A newly released Realtor.com report says the housing market could be hitting a sweet spot for home shoppers, ushering in more inventory, lower list prices and less competition.
