When I tell y’all McKenna and I have been WORKING… I mean WORKING! 🙌🏾

Behind every LEASED sign are countless phone calls, showings, applications, paperwork, inspections, late nights, and a whole lot of patience!

Our goal has always been simple: Protect our landlords’ investments while helping tenants find a place they can proudly call HOME. 🏡❤️

And trust me, property management is not as easy as it looks! There is so much happening behind the scenes that people never see. But seeing a landlord relieved that their property is occupied and a tenant excited to receive their keys makes every bit of the hard work worth it.

I am so proud of what McKenna and I are building together. We are learning, growing, improving our systems, and giving this business everything we’ve got.

✨ ONE YEAR IN BUSINESS. 20 PROPERTIES. A BIGGER VISION. ✨

I’ve been so busy building the property management side of The Real Estate Concierge alongside my mentee, McKenna Brown, that our one-year anniversary almost slipped past me! 🏡🎉

When I started, I thought I would add a few properties each year. I had no idea God had bigger plans.

Today, we’re managing 20 properties, with four more heading to the rental market by the end of October. Calls are coming in daily, and I don’t take a single referral, recommendation, or opportunity for granted.

I still think about day one. I didn’t know everything about this business, but I took a leap of faith. I asked questions, learned as I went, and kept showing up. There have been challenges, lessons, and moments that stretched me—but there has also been growth I once couldn’t imagine.

We recently joined NARPM—the National Association of Residential Property Managers—and we’re preparing to attend our first conference in February! Investing in our education matters to me because the families and property owners we serve deserve knowledgeable, professional management.

A special thank-you to a friend I met at a conference seven years ago. She owns an incredible property management company serving Charlotte and the surrounding areas, managing more than 500 homes. Through her check-ins, updates, and invitations, she continues to encourage me and keep me on my toes. You never know how a connection you make today will help shape your future. ❤️

And to McKenna Brown: thank you for learning alongside me, putting in the work, and helping bring this vision to life. Watching you grow while we build together has been one of the most rewarding parts of this journey.

I still have so much to learn, but I’m finding a real passion for something I once said I would NEVER do. 😂 Never say never!

Property owners need someone who takes their investment seriously. Tenants need someone who treats them with dignity. I believe in being firm but kind, clear about expectations, and willing to listen and help. Accountability and compassion can exist in the same business.

To every owner who trusted us with a home, every person who referred our name, and everyone who has supported us—thank you. You’ve helped build something that means more to me than you know.

My name is Santina Epps-Thomas, and I’m building with purpose. This business will one day be bigger than me. I’m creating systems, opportunities, and a legacy I can pass down to my family.

If you’ve noticed an increase in your monthly mortgage payment, don’t automatically assume there’s nothing you can do about it.

If your loan has an escrow account, one possible reason is an increase in your homeowners insurance premium. Property taxes and escrow adjustments can also cause your payment to change.

This is your reminder to review your escrow statement AND your insurance policy. 📄🔍

Please don’t just accept an insurance increase year after year without asking questions. Every dollar matters.

Having your home and auto bundled with a big-name company doesn’t automatically mean you’re getting the best rate or the best coverage. Shop around. Compare your deductibles. Understand what’s covered and what isn’t. Be intentional about protecting one of your biggest investments: your HOME. 🏠
