I want to slow down for a moment. As we all age, our view of “home” often changes. It may shift from the home filled with memories, to an adult child’s home, or even to a care facility but for many families, it changes.

With inflation continuing to rise, many adult children are still working while also caring for loved ones, and sometimes additional support becomes necessary.

When choosing the next place your family member may call home, there are important things to look for and questions to ask. (Years ago, I worked as an Intake Administrator in a nursing home, so I saw firsthand how important these decisions can be.)

Please always consult qualified professionals when making healthcare, legal, or financial decisions for your loved one.

Housing goes beyond buying and selling it’s about care, dignity, and quality of life at every stage.
