If you’ve owned your home for a few years, when was the last time you actually checked these? 👇

HVAC — Have the system serviced at least once a year, and keep up with those filters.

Dryer vent — Not just the lint trap. The actual vent running from your dryer to the outside needs cleaning too.

Gutters & drainage — Keep gutters clear and make sure downspouts are moving water AWAY from your house.

Termite inspection/bond — Especially here in NC. Get regular inspections, and if you have a termite bond, make sure it hasn’t expired.

Crawlspace — Check periodically for moisture, standing water, pests or anything that doesn’t look right.

Most of these aren’t expensive or complicated.

Ignoring them can be.

Let’s be real. There isn’t a perfect city anywhere. Fayetteville included. There’s good, bad and ugly everywhere.

But I’m a firm believer that home is what you make it. If the military has brought you here and you feel “stuck”, make the best out of it. Find your people. Build your community. Make a life you actually enjoy.

Maybe Fayetteville isn’t the problem. 👀
