Termites are a real concern here in North Carolina—especially with our heat and humidity.

As mentioned in the video, some reports rank North Carolina among the top 10 states for termite activity. For example, Groundworks has published data placing NC within that group. Rankings can vary by source and methodology, but the key takeaway is the same: this is considered a high-risk area for termite activity.

Because of that, certain loan types may require a Wood Destroying Insect Report (WDIR) prior to closing—but requirements vary depending on the lender and loan program.

• ~2 weeks to move in before your report date
