One of the best part of owning your business is having the opportunity to work with people you choose. This summer the Idyllic Team interviewed and hired an unpaid intern, Jack Wilson.
Jack is a rising junior in high school at Shiloh Christian School and joined our team despite an already grueling summer schedule which included two baseball programs and ACT studying schedule that was more intense than any studying I did for the test (not saying much there)…
From day 1, Jack showed up to make an impact. He was always on time (10 mins early) and was disciplined about his work with ownership mindset every day. He maintained a positive attitude despite not always having the most glorious work activities being assigned to him. He finished his summer with a 5AM slab pour and multiple trips to clean and water a competed home in 100 degree heat. Needless to say; we miss Jack on days he isn’t working (he took off Fridays for his summer travel ball).
If these young men are as committed to excellence and hard work as Jack, our future is bright indeed.
Thanks to Jack, for an incredible Summer. Here is to hoping you come back again next year! Who knows, maybe we will even pay you next year. 😆
