Either HB 1110, will large lots and land come at a premium price!?
A frenzy is brewing for vacant land because of House Bill 1110 which focuses on “middle housing”.
It aims to significantly increase housing options, making it easier to build duplexes up to sixplexes, with a special provision for allowing up to six homes per lot if two homes meet affordability requirements.
How do you feel about the lack of parking & public transportation?
For those that know something about this, what are your thoughts on the lack of commercial appraisers and residential appraisers no longer being able to touch these properties?
The goal is to create affordable housing. This could greatly alleviate the housing shortage, with the state needing approximately one million new homes by 2044. The focus on areas within a half-mile of frequent transit aims to ensure that these housing solutions contribute to vibrant, connected communities. This bill represents a significant shift towards inclusivity and diversity in housing options, potentially impacting land values and investment strategies, especially for vacant lands suitable for such developments.
The goal is affordability. Who will take on the additional costs to demo, permit, build, and appraise the new homes? 🏣🏢🏗️
