My oldest started kindergarten today. š„¹ And somehow Iām supposed to just⦠go back to work after that?!
Motherhood has taught me that āwork-life balanceā doesnāt really exist. At least not in the perfectly divided, everyone-gets-an-equal-piece kind of way.
Some days my business needs 100% of me.
Some days my babies do.
And Iāve learned that the goal isnāt to give 50% to each, itās to be fully present for whatever needs me in that moment.
Iām incredibly grateful for the business Iāve built. For the clients who trust me, the career that challenges me, and the fact that my kids get to grow up watching their mom work hard for something she loves.
But Iām equally grateful that this business gives me the flexibility to show up for their lives, too.
The first days. The school drop-offs. The random Tuesday afternoons. The field trips. The little moments that eventually become their childhood memories.
Because the houses will keep selling. The emails will still be there.
But sheāll only start kindergarten once. š¤
Hereās to building a business Iām proud of and being there for the childhood I donāt want to miss.
