Three Moons Rising This is a project that four of us got together to buy some property, to live together, lower our costs of living, live off the land, and off the grid.

We purchased 4 rabbits for growing our own meat. We have to hold them off from mating till weather gets warmer. Glad when I built walls in the barn, that they were removable. Will have to make more room for more cages and get some milk board on the walls and floor under the cages for easy cleaning. We will get great fertilizer too for the gardens so its a two fold gain.

Its been a while since we posted. Winter has set in and we are bunkered down till spring. The chickens are doing good since we moved them to their new hen house. We have the guineas in with them, but the chickens just tolerate them. We started with 10, but three flew off. Wing clipping is in their near future. We are using a lot of the canned and frozen things from our garden.

The garden is looking good, but it needs to rain. The veggies are starting to come and they taste awesome.

Almost have the bedroom for Pat and I done...... a few more small spots to patch in the corners of the closet, sand and will be ready for more paint. Will need to completly remove the drywall down the stairs to bring up-to-par with the rest of the house. Found some blocks for the corners in the dining room.....walls are NOT straight....so blocks allowed me to just use a straight cut. We installed most of it yesterday and covers up the big gaps at the top.

We held a gathering through the Fennville Transition group, the Reskilling group, making rain barrels for water collection on April 26th. We had several people come out and we built about 10 barrels.

I hope we can be seen by others now. We bought our property June of 2011 and started to remodel the interior. Donna moved in in August and is getting settled in.

Will be holding a Seed Swap on Feb 25th @ 4785 118th St., Fennville, Mi, from 1-4 pm. So bring your seeds to swap for ones you don't have. We can also talk "DIRT". Great way for us to get to know the ones interested in gardening, techniques, or other great ideas to pass to others. Hope to see you there.
