Prior to home mortgages I used to do building inspections on all sorts of commercial property. From buying my first house at 21 and then using it as a rental, to being a liscensed asbestos inspector and project manager for 7 years, to building a house 2 years ago, you could say I've been into real-estate for well over a decade at this point.

I always enjoyed the chance to inspect and work on old buildings such as this one. Helping provide the foundation to renovation and reuse of historic buildings.

Opt out of telemarketing calls!

When someone applies for credit or insurance, their credit gets pulled. The credit bureaus then share (aka sell) this information to competitors who will then reach out with a "Prescreened Offer". I often hear from clients that they're getting numerous calls per day for days on end, from these telemarketers trying to sell their products. It is a real nuisance! By default everyone has been "Opted In" to receiving these offers, but you can "Opt-Out" at the link below. The Opt Out is good for 5 years, so do yourself a favor and go ahead and do this now because chances are at some point in the next 5 years you're going to be applying for either a mortgage, credit card, insurance, etc. And it also takes them 5 days to process the request, so waiting until you're ready to apply isn't the best practice. Also included here is a link to the FTC website for additional information about these PreScreened Offers.
