Congrats to Jim and Valinda on the sale of their old home and the purchase of their new condo! Selling your current home before you buy your next one can be very stressful, but I’m happy we were able to make this happen for them. I was able to negotiate the sale of their home with plenty of time to get moved to their new one.

The truth is, their situation wasn’t unique.

In fact, most folks need to sell their current home in order to buy the next one. And that takes a level of experience and strategy from an agent who knows how to both make the timing work and how to win in multiple offer situations.

I firmly believe that buying a house at a young age is one of the absolute best things you can do. Will owning a house make you “rich?” Of course not. But it lays a financial foundation where every month, you’re building equity in SOMETHING.

This is not insignificant.

Making progress towards a goal is addicting (in a good way), and it eventually shows up in other areas of your life. The younger you learn this, the better.

More important than the money itself is the mindset this habit unlocks.

Every goal in life worth pursuing is going to take a long time… and it’s going to require ongoing consistency more than temporary intensity. Too many people are trying to get rich quick when they should be focused on getting rich slowly.

In any endeavor, the price of success is usually just doing the same boring things over and over again… that most people aren’t willing to do. This is what creates results in the gym, in business, and ultimately in life.

This is why cultivating the emotional discipline to pay a monthly mortgage is one of the best things you can do for yourself.

It’s more than a mortgage, it’s about the type of person it helps you to become.

I really am looking out for you here, I promise. Before you click “Request a tour”, let me tell you what really happens when you click that little blue button...

That one click then sends your information out to not just one, but a TON of Realtors in the area all at once. Before you know it, your phone will be lighting up with calls and texts from people you have never met.

When you have boys, it’s all about sports! And now that wrestling is over, the boys are starting baseball. Which means a trip to get more sports equipment for their growing little bodies.

These seasons are short, and they grow SO fast.

I would highly recommend checking out Play It Again Sports on Miller Rd here in Flint. It was definitely a budget-friendly option for us. This is actually where we got Leo’s wrestling shoes this year.

We found cleats for each of the kids for about $15 and a nice batting helmet that fits Leo’s melon head for only $20!

They also had a great selection of gloves. Leo is a lefty, and they even had several nice gloves to choose from. The best part? It’s already broken in.

They have a great selection of both used and new equipment, too.

For any other parent out there who’s looking for an affordable way to get their kids ready for baseball season, head on over to Play It Again Sports here in Flint!
