The island, as of This Labor Day Weekend. 🗺️

185 acres. Nearly half preserved forever. And what's left fits on one map: 11 homesites, 8 homes, and a single spec home.

There's no phase two behind this one — when the map fills in, Crane Island is finished. The only question is which corner of it becomes yours.

Walk it with us. Link in bio, or call 843-475-6686.

A new home with an old soul, made for the marsh.

Drawing on the sideyard tradition of the Lowcountry and the islands, Brown Design Studio of Savannah has shaped an Anglo-Caribbean residence that keeps its privacy on one side and opens completely on the other — toward the marsh, the long light, and the breeze that moves through it in the late afternoon.

Deep porches. Generous overhangs. Rooms that borrow the view instead of chasing it. It is a way of building that belongs to this coast, rendered fresh for a home that has not yet held its first summer.

New construction. Old instincts. Exactly where it ought to be.

Lowcountry Paradise, Found.

Eight years ago, we set out to build Florida’s most authentic expression of Lowcountry architecture and the way of life that comes with it. Today, Crane Island stands as proof of that pursuit — moss-draped oaks, marsh views that stretch to the horizon, and homes designed by some of the finest architects in the Southeast.

We’re proud to call ourselves a Southern Living Inspired Community, a partnership that reflects everything we’ve worked to build here: timeless design, genuine craftsmanship, and a place that feels like it’s always been here.

The story isn’t finished. Just 12 homesites remain for custom homes — a rare chance to build your own chapter of Crane Island.

John Hillman continues his REAL-TOUR series at Crane Island.

No edits. No production crew. Maybe a little long-winded… but hopefully informative.

This time, we’re stepping inside one of the most charming little cottages on Old Well Road—a great example of how thoughtful architecture doesn’t have to be grand to be memorable.

Designed by Historical Concepts & Our Town Plans, built with incredible care by Bruce Worth of Hickory Creek Builders, and brought to life inside by Kathryn Lott, this cottage gets so many of the little things right.

The scale. The proportions. The materials. The craftsmanship. And, most importantly, the feeling you get when you walk through the door.

It’s another reminder of something we talk about often at Crane Island: great architecture isn’t necessarily about square footage. It’s about creating places that feel like they’ve always belonged.

Take a REAL-TOUR with John, hear a little about the thinking behind this special cottage, and enjoy a closer look at the details that make it such a wonderful addition to Crane Island.

We hope you enjoy the tour.

Summer at Crane Island has a way of turning the front porch into the favorite room of the house.

Who says hibachi has to happen in the backyard? We love seeing our homeowners and friends transform their front porches into places where great food, laughter, and conversation naturally bring neighbors together. It’s spontaneous, welcoming, and exactly the kind of living these homes were designed to inspire.

At Crane Island, the front porch isn’t just an architectural feature—it’s where community comes to life. Whether it’s a hibachi dinner, morning coffee, sunset cocktails, or simply waving to neighbors as they pass by, these spaces remind us that some of life’s best moments happen just outside the front door.

This is what porch living was always meant to be.

How would you use your front porch this summer?

A Perspective on the Island Market | June 2026

Amelia Island’s single-family market moved with quiet confidence in June — $110.9M in dollar volume, up 18.7% year-over-year. Well-appointed homes continued to command their price, and sales at $1M+ climbed 69.2% from a year ago, a clear signal of where buyer conviction remains strongest.

Year-to-date, dollar volume holds within 1.5% of last year’s pace — a market defined by patience, not urgency.

On Crane Island, that steadiness shows in our own numbers: $24.5M in year-to-date sales across existing resales, homesites, and new construction.

The Crane Island Neighborhood Report has arrived.

Every neighborhood has inventory.

The best communities have a story.

This month’s report takes a look at what’s currently available—from homesites waiting for the right vision to homes that are already part of the island’s fabric. Along the way, you’ll find a closer look at the architecture, conservation, and porch-centered lifestyle that continue to make Crane Island one of Florida’s most distinctive coastal communities.

Because buying here isn’t simply finding a home.

It’s choosing a place with history, character, and a future worth investing in.

Where the porch is the point.

There are few freedoms greater than slowing down.

A quiet morning on the water.
A sailboat catching the afternoon breeze.
Neighbors gathering on the porch.
Children chasing fireflies as the sun sets over the marsh.

Today we celebrate the independence that shaped our nation—and the simple moments that remind us why home matters.

From all of us at Crane Island, we wish you and your family a joyful, safe, and memorable Fourth of July.

Happy Independence Day.

There’s something timeless about a home that lives beautifully on one level.

Thoughtfully designed with over 2,500 square feet, generous gathering spaces, and a seamless connection to the outdoors, this Pearce Scott Architects plan proves that great design isn’t about having more floors—it’s about creating better spaces.

Wide porches. Natural light. Rooms that flow effortlessly. And every square foot designed to be lived in.

At Crane Island, we believe the best homes don’t just impress on day one—they become even more meaningful over time.

Could single-story living be the ultimate luxury?
