there’s something about having your own little escape…

but you’re still just minutes from coffee runs, local restaurants + all the little spots that make living in Yulee so good.

basically, you get the best of both worlds. 🌊

this one was long overdue 🌞

i just love riding bikes on our little island.

and fort clinch is always a favorite!

the ride to the fort is about 3 miles, but honestly it’s the prettiest part.

you’re winding through the oak canopy with spanish moss hanging everywhere, and that golden afternoon light coming through the trees…

it feels pretty magical.

if you’re lucky, you might even spot a deer or two. 🦌

🌊 then you keep riding until you hit the beach. which is obviously the best part.

10000/10 stop for shark tooth hunting btw 😉

and a few little extras 🤭

honestly, the best therapy around IMO. 🦈

shark tooth hunting is one of my favorite things to do on Amelia Island, so obviously it had to make the bucket list.

i usually head to the north end beaches and walk toward the fort. shhh… don’t tell too many people 🤫

the shell beds were sooo good this day, and i knew it was going to be a good one when my first treasure wasn’t even a shark tooth.

it was a piece of 18th-century pottery just laying there waiting for me to find it.

which, honestly, is what i love about hunting out here.

you never really know what you’re going to find.

a couple hours of hunting, sand between my toes, and salty air is always good for the soul.
