Summer graduated from the University of Georgia’s Terry College of Business in 2013 with an impressive academic record. Most notably, she graduated Summa Cum Laude and was the recipient of the Excellence in Management Award given to the top management student in her graduating class. Throughout college Summer managed all aspects of vacation rentals for her parents’ properties on Amelia Island and found her calling in property management. To acquire a thorough understanding of the vacation rental industry, after graduating Summer interned at Hilton Head Rentals and Golf, one of the largest and most successful companies in an intensely competitive market. She gained an exhaustive working knowledge of the business from former owner and CEO, Tom Ridgway and his staff. Summer chose to apply her exceptional organizational skills and relentless desire to please her clients by launching her fledgling business venture on Amelia Island in 2014. Wesley Joseph, an honor graduate of Valdosta State University, began his career in the service industry over 10 years ago by launching a startup company while still in college. Also finding a passion for the vacation rental industry, Wesley sold his successful business and joined the Amelia Island Getaways team in 2018. Amelia Island Getaways, a family owned and operated business, offers hands-on personalized attention to each of its clients.
