Maintenance crews will be cleaning, regrading, and installing parking stops at the boat trailer parking by the marina Thursday, April 9, and Friday, April 10. It will be closed until complete.

As a reminder, our the grand opening of the Amelia River Waterfront Park is this weekend: Saturday, April 11. Enjoy live music from the Honey Badgers, hear from a few special guests, and learn the name of our new pirate statue (after an exciting naming contest organized by the City's Youth Advisory Committee!).

Keep Nassau Beautiful, Inc. will be there keeping everyone hydrated, and Fernandina Beach Main Street will be selling memorial benches.

½ teaspoon baking soda
Glaze
¾ cup sugar
⅓ cup salted butter
3 tablespoons water
2 teaspoons rum extract
2. Applesauce Cake
Cake
3 cups all-purpose flour
1 tablespoon apple pie spice blend
2 teaspoons baking powder
1 teaspoon baking soda
½ teaspoon salt
3 eggs, room temperature
1¾ cups Musselman’s Applesauce
1½ cups light brown sugar, firmly packed
1 cup vegetable oil
½ cup granulated sugar
1 tablespoon vanilla extract
1¼ cups of your favorite store-bought salted caramel sauce
3. Red Wine Chocolate Cake
Cake
1 cup butter
1 cup sugar
1 cup brown sugar
2 teaspoons vanilla
2 eggs
1½ cups flour
¾ cup cocoa powder
1 teaspoon baking soda
2 teaspoons salt
1¼ cups red wine
Glaze
1 cup chocolate chips
¼ cup butter
1 cup powdered sugar
½ cup red wine
4. Blueberry Pound Cake
1¼ cups salted sweet cream butter, softened (divided into 1 cup and ¼ cup)
2 cups granulated sugar, divided into 1¾ cups and ¼ cup
3 cups all-purpose flour, spooned and leveled
2 tablespoons all-purpose flour
1½ teaspoons baking powder
¾ teaspoon kosher salt
2½ cups fresh blueberries, rinsed and dried
2 teaspoons pure vanilla extract
5 large eggs, room temperature
Drizzle
1⅔ cups powdered sugar, sifted
4 to 5 tablespoons half and half
½ teaspoon clear vanilla flavoring
