Real estate isn’t always easy. I work weekends, answer evening calls, see some things you wouldn’t believe, and joke that I wake up unemployed every day. There’s no guaranteed paycheck, and so much of what I do happens behind the scenes.

People don’t always see the hours spent researching, preparing, and showing homes. The calls to work through inspection surprises, appraisal issues, or financing delays. The family plans rearranged and the weeks or months of work that sometimes end in a deal falling apart.

And sometimes, even after the calls and emails stop, I’m still thinking about a client and how to help them through whatever comes next.

There are days when it’s stressful and discouraging. Days when I have to pray, trust God, and remind myself why I do this.

I truly feel like God has called me to serve people, and this is one of the ways I get to do that.

Sometimes it’s helping a family find more room for a new baby. Sometimes it’s a bigger home, a first home, or downsizing into something easier to manage. Other times, it’s helping someone through a loss, a divorce, financial hardship, or leaving a home that holds a lifetime of memories.

People buy and sell for happy reasons and heartbreaking ones. I get to walk alongside them through both.

I can’t promise there won’t be bumps along the way, but I can listen, work through the problems, and help carry some of the stress. I want my clients to know they have someone in their corner who cares about them and what they’re going through.

This career stretches my faith and teaches me patience. I don’t take lightly the trust people place in me during such important moments in their lives. Even on the hard days, I’m thankful God gives me the opportunity to show up, love people, and serve them right where they are.
