09/11/2025
It is only fitting that I make this post on 9/11. Twenty-four years ago today, our country experienced one of the most horrific events, where many lost loved ones at the hands of evil in our world. May we never forget.
And yet again, our country experienced another heartbreaking event at the hands of evil yesterday with the assassination of Charlie Kirk.
I delayed making this post because I am an imperfect Christian who serves a perfect God. My flesh was full of rage as I watched news media sources report that Charlie got what was coming and members of Congress refusing to give a moment of silence to this father and husband who was just killed. And while there are those who are still celebrating his death, I began to see God’s hand at work.
Let’s be real. Charlie Kirk did not die for his political beliefs, he died for his Christian beliefs. This is a spiritual battle of good and evil. The enemy tried to silence Charlie, but God had other plans.
Genesis 50:20 says, 'But as for you, you meant evil against me; but God meant it for good, in order to bring it about as it is this day, to save many people alive.'
I always loved watching Charlie challenge college students' worldly views, offering them Biblical views instead. No matter how outrageous their beliefs were, Charlie always offered grace in his interactions with them. There is no doubt that Charlie walked in the spirit. He was being used by God to disciple a new generation of believers.
As I watched the evening unfold, I began noticing posts by other Christians realizing that we can no longer be silent about the need to live a Godly life. I saw posts by non-Christians recognizing the darkness of our world—some even praying when they hadn't prayed before. Once again, the American people were being united by something the enemy meant for harm—regardless of politocal affiliation. People who had never heard of Charlie Kirk before were now watching his videos. Satan meant to silence his voice, but Charlie’s voice has been amplified instead.
My prayer for the youth of our country is that they will pick up the torch where Charlie left off and be the salt and light of this world, all for the glory of God.
May God’s peace that surpasses all understanding be with Charlie’s wife and children.
God's hand on our youth can be seen in the following videos on college campuses ❤️
