The housing market is beginning to show signs of a slight cooling, but home shoppers in the Northeast and Midwest may be disappointed by the ongoing competition for homes this year.

The laws of supply and demand are at play in every industry. Housing is no different.

Realtor.com’s monthly housing trends report states that the number of homes for sale in October was the most in more than four years, almost 30% higher than last year, and the twelfth straight month of growth.

It's been a good 6-7 years where the supply of homes has paled in comparison to the demand for homes. It looks like we may be moving toward a market where buyers have a bit more power.

I'm sure some of you have heard about the lawsuits against the National Association of Realtors. These lawsuits were not filed in Indiana, but Indiana Association of Realtors is taking steps to to prevent any future suits, to protect consumers, and to protect Realtors.
