April 11, 1968, was a landmark date for the U.S. real estate industry—it was the day when President Lyndon B. Johnson signed the Fair Housing Act, which made discrimination in housing transactions unlawful.
This month, we celebrate Fair Housing Month—a chance to honor the progress made since 1968, but also acknowledge the work that still needs to be done. Together, we can ensure that everyone, regardless of race, color, religion, s*x, disability, familial status, or national origin, has equal access to housing opportunities.
