Today is National Self-Care Day!
Our lives can get so busy, and many of us forget to make our well-being a priority. This national holiday exists to emphasize the importance of self-care as the foundation for being in good health.
‘Self-care’ is the act of caring for oneself through means that help us feel our healthiest and happiest. This can be anything!
Physical Self-Care - eat a healthy meal, exercise, go for a walk, drink water, sleep, sit in the sunlight.
Mental Self-Care - practice mindfulness, take a break, listen to music, reflect.
Emotional Self-Care - journaling, utilizing affirmations or mantras, meditation.
Spiritual Self-Care - volunteer or help others, practice yoga, spend time in nature, focus on your hobbies.
Environmental Self-Care - decluttering your home or work environment, maintaining a clean and safe living space.
