Starting August 17,
2024 (Saturday) Buyers using a REALTOR are required to sign a Buyer Broker agreement prior to touring a property with an agent. There are different types of agreements and you will want to talk with your agent to understand the differences. This is a result of the lawsuit settled earlier this year over commissions.
Sellers are no longer solely responsible for commissions paid to Buyer agents.
Your REALTOR can explain the new requirements and help both Sellers and Buyers navigate the changes to their best advantage.
