Hi Friends, with this winter storm moving through, it’s a good time to pause and give a little extra attention to your home. Winter storms can be tough on houses, but a few simple steps can help prevent costly or stressful issues later on:
• Keep your heat set consistently to help avoid frozen pipes
• Let faucets drip slightly during extreme cold
• Clear snow away from furnace, dryer, and water heater vents outside
• Check your sump pump and basement for any signs of water intrusion
• Keep an eye on snow accumulation on your roof (just don’t climb up there 🫣)
