First major event as this year’s sitting Chair of our Southwest Council was a huge success. We hosted our very first Run Walk featuring a 1K, 2.5K, and 5K, and it was nothing short of incredible. But this post is not about me. It is about the team that made it all happen.
Our entire Southwest Council team truly delivered from planning to ex*****on. Thank you to everyone who attended planning meetings and contributed ideas. Every suggestion mattered and played a role in bringing this vision to life.
A sincere thank you to all of our sponsors who helped make this event such a tremendous success. Please see the attached video for a full list of this year’s sponsors. We have so many this year that we had to add an extra board.
A special thank you and hats off to our Southwest Council Vice Chair, Joyce Roberts, who originally pitched the idea that came to life. From start to finish, your leadership and commitment were outstanding. Additionally, your husband’s ham radio team was phenomenal and played a major instrumental role in the success of the day.
Thank you to Golden Dog Title Company for allowing us to utilize your location and facilities, for sponsoring breakfast and coffee, and for those amazing mimosas.
To Lesa Klauer for transporting and allowing us to utilize your golf cart. This made mapping, getting signs out and so much more such a breeze. Thank you love!
To Kimberly Reynolds and Dee Bratcher, thank you for sponsoring the start and finish balloon arch. Your hard work and dedication did not go unnoticed.
To Hommatti Photography, thank you for sponsoring the fruit, organic dried pineapples, and protein bars. Everything was a hit.
Kim Cole and the Cole Team, thank you for sponsoring the apples and oranges. The kids absolutely loved them.
Aidan Pinnix, thank you for capturing our event photography. Your talent is evident and your future is bright.
I am equally thankful for our partnering councils. The Property Management Council, led by Chair Patricia Orange, did an outstanding job. Our St. Johns Council Chair Adam Latiff and Vice Chair Chris Chamberlain provided incredible support. Our Commercial Council Chair Eugene Calabrase, thank you for your leadership and assistance. We at the Southwest Council truly appreciate each of you and your role in helping us pull this off.
What a powerful way to kick off the year. I am grateful for the teamwork, the energy, and the commitment that made this event such a success.
