A little Monday positivity for those waiting on a change in the real estate market — Mortgage applications increased 15.6% during the week of June 8th compared to the prior week!

This spike in people submitting mortgage applications comes after a stronger-than-anticipated employment report resulted in a decline in interest rates.

This may be good news for those who’ve been waiting for a market change to make their next big move in real estate.

Over the last month or so, we’ve also been watching inventory steadily creep back up in our local region. This increase in supply, together with a surge in demand (increased mortgage applications), may bring a positive future outlook for both buyers & sellers seeking real estate in the near future.
