🏡This property is under contract, but there was one obstacle standing between us and closing—a MASSIVE fallen tree. The appraiser required it to be completely removed before he would sign off.😵‍💫

So I called two of the hardest-working 16-year-old boys I know.

One is my son. The other is the son of one of my builders.

At first glance, they couldn’t look much more different. One showed up in a cowboy hat, blue jeans, and boots. The other rolled in wearing Nike shorts, a T-shirt, and a backwards hat. Different styles. Different personalities. Different upbringings.

But when it came time to work, none of that mattered.

What they do have in common is something that seems harder and harder to find these days: work ethic.💪🏼

You can teach skills. You can teach knowledge. But work ethic comes from somewhere deeper. It’s choosing to show up, get dirty, work hard, and finish the job even when nobody is watching.

These boys spent their day cutting, hauling, dragging brush, and cleaning up a tree that most people would have looked at and called someone else to handle.

My client actually sent me this picture and it reminded me that character doesn’t care what you’re wearing. The contrast; whether it’s boots and blue jeans or Nike shorts and a backwards hat, hard work looks the same.

As a mom, I couldn’t be more proud. As a Realtor, it reminded me why I surround myself with people who know how to get things done.
