d in a 200 year old Gristmill town of Stillwater NJ, at the foot of the Kittatinny Mountains, helping my grandfather farm and harvest fresh water Eel, The big plan out of high school was to hunt and fish and get paid to illustrate it for Field and Stream, Outdoor Life, and Sports Afield. I attended Pratt Institute and received a degree in Communication Design and achieved some of those lofty goals. However, the starving artist gig soon fell by the way-side in exchange for a steady paycheck. I entered the workforce in Desktop Publishing and 3D Animation during the burgeoning internet days of the very early 90's. My love of the outdoors hunting and fishing prompted my First Business at age of 18 running P-n-J's sporting goods. In my early 20's I moved to the Midwest to buy my first home (a real fixer upper - let's talk about the benefits of sweat equity). Over the years, farm and family grew, I established Brook Hollow Berry Farm in Parke County Indiana with 40 acres of vineyard and cane fruits to supply the local winery industry. I worked with the University of Arkansas to establish 10k blackberries on the farm. I moved to Iowa in my 30's and started "Iron Hills Whitetail" a traditional archery only hunting operation. We practiced Quality Deer Management, timber management, prairie development, and established timber-basis for tax purposes. (lets talk about how to best leverage you land assets)
Over time, work life balance allowed me to have a bucket list adventure: A 3-day self-guided solo float trip on the Famed White River starting from the Dam in Bull Shoals to the Buffalo River in search of monster trout. I fell in love with all that Arkansas had to offer. I sold the farm in Iowa and moved to Bull Shoals. (talk to me about 1031 exchanges)
I have been in North Central Arkansas for 8+ years now.
