It is the classic real estate curse. The moment you pack your bags and head out of town, your phone starts ringing, clients want to view new listings, and sudden offers land in your inbox.

It’s a curse and a blessing, and I wouldn’t have it any other way. I’d say going on vacation is a business strategy at this point!

Walk in neat and sore,
Walk out messed and relaxed! ☺️

Moving is stressful on your mind, but I’m pretty sure it’s even harder on your body. After days of lifting, carrying, unpacking boxes, bending, reaching and basically using muscles I forgot I had, I was FEELING it.

Had an hour-long session with Chelsea Turner at Stretch Fit LLC was exactly what I needed. She worked on all the tight, sore areas from the move, helped get everything loosened back up, and I left feeling like an entirely different person. Seriously, if you’re sore, stiff, constantly tight, or just feel like your body needs a reset, go see her. This was probably the best thing I could’ve done for myself after moving.

Happy Closing Day! 🏠

This closing hit different than most! 16 years ago, we started our lives as husband and wife on Mallard Lane. I brought home two babies there, we raised our boys there, and we’ve made more memories in that house than I could ever count. And today, after 16 years of marriage, we bought our first house together. ❤️

I’m so excited for all the new memories we’re going to make in our new home, but today is definitely bittersweet. We’re starting an exciting new chapter while also beginning the stressful process of packing up 20 years of life, getting Mallard Lane ready for her next owners, and saying goodbye to a place that has been such a huge part of our story. Here’s to new beginnings, new memories, and our next chapter.

And according to Brad: Happy birthday, and don’t ask for anything else 😂.

One of the biggest things I see in real estate is something called the “Ostrich Effect.”

It’s when people avoid things they know they should probably look at, because it feels overwhelming or stressful, so they bury their heads in the sand and avoid it altogether. I see this all the time with buyers and sellers.

It usually looks like:
• Not really knowing what your home would sell for right now
• Putting off repairs because it feels like too much work
• Waiting to make a move because the market feels confusing
• Avoiding conversations about finances because you're "not ready yet"

I get it. But avoiding it doesn’t change anything. It just delays it.

When you finally ask the questions you’ve been putting off, you get a lot more clarity than you expected:
• You may have more equity than you thought you had
• The numbers might be more doable than you expected
• There are options you didn’t even realize you had

The sooner you understand your situation, the more options you have. Information really does change everything.

If there’s a tough question you have, let’s talk about it. I’ll always be honest and transparent with you. It's better to address things up front than be surprised later.

So…don’t be an ostrich. Get your head out of the sand and let me help you get the answers you’ve been sitting on.

I’ve literally encountered the WORST client I’ve ever had the privilege of working with.

She asks 100 questions.

She second guesses everything she’s been told… even though she already knows the answer.

She walks around nervous all day long.

She talks to herself.

She asks herself questions, answers them herself, and then second guesses her own answers.

She analyzes EVERYTHING.

And quite frankly, she is getting on my last nerve.

I can’t believe I’m about to put a client’s name on Facebook because this is so out of character for me, but at this point…

Her name is….

Nicole. It’s me. I’m the client.

Apparently buying your own house while also being your own Realtor is a very specific kind of chaos.
