Are you getting your summer homes ready for the season? If so, here is a checklist of things to do before you get there.

1. Clean your windows—don’t forget inside and outside!

2. Check HVAC filters. You don’t want to have to call maintenance when you get there.

3. Clean out your garbage disposal—you don’t want it stinking up the whole place!

4. Prep your summer garden for planting—you can do this by laying down some mulch or other fertilizer in your garden soil to keep weeds down and give your plants a head start on growing.

5. Bring out patio furniture from storage and inspect it for mold or other damage—if it’s in bad shape, it’s better to know before you get there so you can order new stuff ahead of time!

If you’re interested in a home that’s under contract, have no fear! Although it can seem like a dire situation at first, being isn’t necessarily a bad thing.

It simply means that the seller has accepted your formal offer but it’s not completely done until the paperwork is signed. The owner may browse other offers as well.

Never done that before? No worries! Here’s your checklist on how to get your home ready for its closeup. 😉

✅ Clear and clean the kitchen counters and sink.

✅ Open all your window treatments to let natural light in.

✅ Remove all personal photos and items, so they don’t distract from your home’s amenities.
