If you find a house you would like to buy, now is the time, but here are a few things to consider.
While interest rates are at a historic low, moving between 2.25 and 2.75 percent, so is inventory. In the 15 years I have been buying and selling homes I have never seen inventory this low. That is not good for the buyer because it erodes the buyers position.
Many sellers are doing less to their homes to get them ready to sell, which means more work for the buyer. Finally low inventory drives prices up. However the lower rates help keep homes affordable.
This all means if you are serious about a home call a mortgage broker to get pre-qualified. (I always refer Gregg Crowley at 843-769-7772) This will save time and time is golden to a serious buyer.
If you are in the Florence area, West Florence is the most desired area but the most difficult to find a move-in ready home. Homes in West Florence are also a little more expensive than other areas.
