About Ken

Ken Jackson is a Realtor with over 30 years experience representing buyers and sellers in the Florence area. He has been a top producing real estate broker since 1990 and was recently included in the REAL Trends America's Best Real Estate Agents. Ken's approach to real estate is that it is better to establish a lifetime relationship than to just complete a transaction. That approach has allowed Ken much success and many repeat and referred clients

Ken has spent most of his real estate career with RE/MAX and he has been recognized by them with the RE/MAX Lifetime Achievement Award and as member of the RE/MAX Hall of Fame. Ken believes that being involved and knowledgeable about the community he serves allows him to be a better Realtor. He has been involved with numerous activities and organizations over the years and has been recognized for leadership in his profession, his community, his alma mater and his church.

He has been involved in the National Association of Realtors where he served on the Board of Directors and as Chairman of the NAR Smart Growth Advisory Board. He has also served as President of the Florence Board of Realtors and was named Realtor of the Year. Ken has been recognized multiple times as Best Realtor in the P*e Dee by readers of the Florence Morning News. He has been actively involved in local growth issues over the years and served for many years as Chairman of the Florence Municipal-County Planning Commission where he got a close-up view of the challenges faced by property owners and developers. He was able to gain valuable experience that he uses to assist clients in navigating property rights and land use issues. For his community leadership, Ken was recognized by the Florence Chamber of Commerce as the 2007 Business Person of the Year. He currently serves on the Board of Directors for the Florence County Economic Development Partnership and the Chairman of the Florence Chamber of Commerce.

Ken has long been a supporter of the re-development of Downtown Florence. He is has been involved as a developer in several Downtown projects including the 50,000 SF historic Kress Corner project. (www.KressCorner.com)
