Eleven years ago, today, I did my first real estate transaction in the Shoals. I drove into Florence with my bear dog on the seat beside me in the U-Haul.

We showed up at to sign the closing docs for the house that I still live in.

At the time, I didn’t know that this community in North West Alabama would become so dear to my heart and my home for the next decade.

It is an honor to have the role that I have with our community. As I look at my home and feel a place of belonging, peace, safety, and pride… I’m so grateful to be the person who walks arm and arm with others into this same reality on a daily basis.

What an exciting afternoon! It was an honor to be a guest at the official ribbon cutting of the brand new Team Campus.

Some days this work feels less like real estate and more like being invited into something sacred.

Over the past few months, I have had the honor of helping a dear friend, one of the kindest and most thoughtful people I know, find a home for his mother as she makes her way to The Shoals.

A new place, yes… but more than that, a soft landing. We know that she is coming to a community that will rally around her with care, joy, and belonging.

Moments like this are why we do what we do. The opportunities to play a small part in bringing someone closer to family, to connection, to home.

Grateful for friendships that turn into stories like this, and for a town that continues to welcome people so well.

This year I had the incredible honor of celebrating my birthday by throwing an official launch party for the Birmingham office of my brokerage, Fernhill Realty.

Even now as I look through photos from the gorgeous evening, I am completely overwhelmed. To have the gift of being surrounded by dear friends, clients, neighbors, and all of our amazing agents from both the Florence and Birmingham offices is a true honor.

Getting to lead our Fernhill teams is one of the greatest joys of my life… being able to do that with the support of my dearest and closest friends brings up emotions that that I struggle to put into words.
