Most people don’t realize that after closing on a home, you’ll start receiving a lot of official-looking letters in the mail asking you to pay for things like:

• Copies of your deed
• Property records
• Mortgage services

But here’s the truth… many of those letters are just solicitations.

You do NOT have to pay for your deed — you can get it directly from your closing attorney.
